**Climate Crisis Fuels Record Heat and Devastating Wildfires, Floods Across the Globe**

The third-hottest July on record has come to an end, but its legacy is one of devastation. Regions worldwide were ravaged by extreme weather events, a stark reminder of the escalating impact of global warming. 

The European climate monitoring service reported heavy rains that caused catastrophic flooding in Pakistan and northern China.  Canada, Scotland, and Greece battled raging wildfires fueled by persistent drought conditions. In Asia and Scandinavia, many nations faced scorching temperatures and severe heat waves.


“Many regions were devastated by extreme weather amplified by global warming,” the European climate monitoring service stated Thursday.
